Sydney ranks in top ten most livable cities

By Louise Morrin

Finding a new city to call home can be a hard task. After all, it's likely you've got a list of features that you're looking for in a suburb.

However, a property in Carlton could be a wise choice, as Sydney was recently ranked as the seventh most livable city in the world. In the Economist Intelligence Unit's livability survey, Sydney received a high score of 96.1. This was largely due to the city's performance in the healthcare, education and infrastructure categories.

There's no doubt Sydney is a growing city. From transformations in parts of the greater Sydney region to build more housing to infrastructure projects like rail links, development is high in the NSW capital.

In addition to this, the Sydney region is home to an array of universities, making it a top choice for foreign and domestic students. From The University of New South Wales, Macquarie University, The University of Sydney to The University of Notre Dame, there's plenty to choose from in this vibrant part of Australia.

Whether you're looking to move for education purposes or just to embrace a thriving cultural scene, start your search in Sydney's suburbs.
