Individuals and families living in property in Carlton have a wealth of events to attend in April as part of the 2014 Life in Kogarah Festival.
The festival runs for a three-month period, with April being the final month for locals to head along and enjoy the creativity and entertainment on offer.
Mayor Stephen Agius noted that there is “something for all ages and interests”, making the inaugural festival perfect for the entire community.
On Friday April 4, the Short Stuff Film Festival launches. Held from 6-7 pm at the Shopfront Theatre near real estate in Carlton, organisers will run through what participants need to include in their films. Over the weekend, those aged 12-24 can make their very own film, with technical assistants at the theatre on both days.
The finalists’ films will be screened on May 2 in Hurstville.

Between April 24-27, the Shopfront Theatre for Young People Co Op presents the results of nine weeks of hard work, with young people putting on performances at Carlton’s very own theatre.
