Carlton property residents are spoiled with fantastic local events. One that has occurred regularly in recent months is Living Laneways – a Rockdale City Council initiative that showcases local talent and businesses.
This weekend (13 September), Carlton residents will be able to enjoy the Spring Market, hosted at King Lane through Living Laneways. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you'll find home and garden stalls, ukulele classes, Australian wildlife displays and free ping-pong.
Perfect for anyone interested in gardening or learning more about the environment, this event is sure to be a fantastic day out for all.
Don't forget to bring the little ones, either. The Spring Market has a great recycled art workshop for kids, hosted by The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre. This will give the kids a chance to get creative and make their very own work of art.
There will also be information for keen gardeners who wish to learn about worm farming – great skills to use at home in your own backyard!
Finally, visitors to the Spring Market are invited to participate in creating the community mural. Here, you'll have a chance to make your own impression and inject your personality into a piece of local art.
