The development of new bike tracks for children in Sydney Park aims to provide a fun, safe place for kids to learn and perfect their cycling skills. This could be great news for families living in property in Carlton, with tracks tailored to both novices and more experienced riders as well.
Lord mayor Clover Moore said the new tracks were being built in the park where hundreds of children already learn to ride their bicycle, making it a more effective space for this purpose heading into the future.
"This new and improved design will feature wider paths and challenges like hills, curves and bridges, along with fun inclusions to inspire the imagination, such as stop and go signals, post boxes, tunnels and water refuelling stations," said Mayor Moore in a 15 December statement.
Construction on the new park will start in early 2015 and will boost the park's appeal for people of all ages. Made up of 40 hectares of grassy space, surrounding by trees, hills and playgrounds, Sydney Park is a wonderful destination for friends and families to spend time together in the New South Wales capital city.
