Thinking about buying real estate in St George? Now you can step back into the past and view St George's history through a new exhibition at the Hurstville Museum and Gallery!
Named 'Living On The Water's Edge: Stories of St George', the permanent exhibition will focus on Spanish speaking members of the community and the backgrounds they come from.
Councillor Jack Cocovou, Mayor of Hurstville, says the photographs and artifacts will outline the history of the St George region from its earliest settlers right through the present day.
As part of the 'Spotlight On' display, it is yet another event showcasing St George's cultural depth, and a great reason to visit the area. You can bring the kids along and teach them about an important part of the area's history, or maybe even pick up a deeper understanding of the neighbourhood yourself.
Either way, exhibitions like this form an important part of the local cultural landscape. If you want to meet other like-minded people there will be an afternoon tea on this Sunday from 3pm, free of charge. Who knows, you might meet new friends or find the home of your dreams around the corner!
