Australia's natural landscape is something that the country is rather proud of. From the deep reds of the Outback to the lush greens of the Hinterlands, Australia's environment is rich and varied.
On 7 September, you can play a part in keeping the environment clean and healthy at Bushcare's Major Day Out.
At Moore Reserve, Oatley, which is not too far from any property in Carlton, the community is getting together to plant native trees and get rid of weeds. From 9 a.m to 12.30 p.m. you can get to know a bit more about the local environment and wildlife, and how to take care of it.
Hosted by the Kogarah City Council, this event will also give you the chance to put your nature photography skills to use and get to know your neighbours. If you plan to attend, make sure you wear appropriate attire and slap on some sunscreen.
This annual event has helped educate Australians all across the country on how to care for the environment. It's skills such as these that can go a long way to keep Australia looking beautiful now and into the future.
