Sydneysiders love their bikes – and there's good reason for it! With all the fantastic cycle ways and picturesque streets that Sydney has, it's no wonder people love commuting by this environmentally friendly mode of travel.
For anyone living in a property in St George, there's no reason not to get on your bike this coming weekend. Sunday 14 September kicks off the start of New South Wales Bike Week, with a fantastic event planned at nearby Peter Depena Reserve, Dolls Point.
Starting at 10.30 a.m., St George residents are invited to take part in a guided ride along this beautiful part of Sydney. There will be workshops to promote bike safety and there's even a free lunch for those who book.
Kids and adults of all ages are quite welcome, no matter how confident you are on your bike or your level of skill.
If you're thinking of heading along, make sure you bring your bike, helmet, filled water bottle, appropriate attire and some sunscreen.
There will be an array of Bike Week events all around Sydney so keep an eye out! Whether it's a workshop to teach kids how to ride, a tour or even a picnic, there's lots happening for this year's event.
